A question to ponder whether can we ever rise above the petty concerns like lingo or a turban or a region and vote for a genuine talent.we all know the states like w bengal, punjab , maharashtra are extremely region centric and at times the loyalty to state or religion overtakes all other aspects. This being only a singing contest.. may not matter much but it shows a larger malaise afflicting the society..

I just want to say that my favourite in this compeition was Toshi and I am a Sikh. However since Toshi was eliminated quite early on, I turned my support to who I thought was second best which was Ishmeet not because he is a fellow sikh. For the muslims suchs as zainab and zahra - you guys are just sore losers.

People of india are not fool. They have selected the right voice. Guys like Zainab and zahra are ignorant. I pray to god to give them some good sence and sportsmanship.

First of all, Congrats! to Ishmeet and all of his fans.

Zahra and other people like her should not be jealous of him. It’s Ishmeet’s talent and luck, shich have come together, to make him the VOI. These people should not use the words like this. They should mind their language. Ishmeet has not done anything wrong with anybody. So, please try be happy with others, leaving behind the communal or religious differences.

If you people think, it’s a communal orreligious thing then for your kind information, population of sikhs or punjabis is not more than the rest of India and other religions.

So, lets try to learn to celebrate the success of others. It will give us more happiness.

I agree with comments many made here. To say that this was the most manipulated show would be an understatement. The show promotes mediocrity over superior performance is self-evident. But I am mystified at the lack of courage any of the judges had (except Lalit on occasions). When Sanjaya was repeatedly evading elimation in American Idol, Simon Cowell was all over trying to nip the problem of “block voting” in the bud. Unfortunately, we saw no such effort from our judges. Either they lacked the courage to stand-up to the scourge of “block voting”, or they were intellectually lazy. Music had already lost with Abhaas, Irfan & Toshi’s elimination - today was the formal burial.
I am sorry I wasted 7 months to see this joke of a final.

The Star Voice Of India programme is the greatest farce of the century and the judges’ voice was ineffective due to the element of public vote which was a total farce. The result is no way related to merit and voice quality.
The result is only based on extraneous and regional considerations except merit and quality.

I do not agree with Kamal. Majority of Indians have not voted for Ishmeet. In fact, Harshit was leading in 3 out of 4 zones. Ishmeet won only due to regional considerations i.e. from North zone (Punjab). Ishmeet’s victory only means that he got more votes from Punjab than Harshit got from UP. This is no indication of merit. Besides, it is Abhas who is the true voice of India as he is the choice of the judges.

Man oh man…Ishmeet’s win sure is causing alot of conterversy. I just want to say that most of ppl on this blog are against Ishmeet’s winning because the winning votes came from the North and got the overall lead despite having Harshit lead in the East, West, and South. It may be true…well i’m pretty sure that majority of the punjab voted for Ishmeet and you could say this because of his religious views which most ppl are saying but the same arguement could be used to make the case for Harshit winning in the east,south,and west because majority of the population in those regions is Hindus and that’s why they would decide to vote for Harshit…I hope that everone sees that we shouldn’t focus on justifying why it’s so because of the religios views and just stick with what it is…Majority of the ppl in INDIA voted for Ishmeet and that’s why he won period.

it was sad to see the judges’ hostility towrds ishmeet but w/o any bias or offence he didnt deserve to win the contest compared to all other top 12 singers. He is a pretty average singer and that is not to say i hate him because i dont even know him. i’m happy for him cuz his dream came true but it is shocking, unfair n unjust for all those great singing talents.

This is like Kelly Clarkson losing to sanjaya malakar on Amercian Idol. And yes, sanjaya was a great guy too, with great marketablity,the whole show is scripted and stupidly hyped up drama.with results all messed up.

But it was a singing contest and public voting has resulted in an incorrect decision. Atleast Harhsit’s win in the end would’ve made some sense. Ishmeet is the best, his class of singing stands apart. That is the reason why his supporters r so crazy about him. His innocence & sweet voice has won him die-hard supporters, which other singers in the contest dint have.
Even arshpreet was frm punjab, why did she fail to get votes. The reason is that she lacked qualities that Ishmeet possesses.

A minor correction, Sikhs r just 2% of India’s population.
Population of Punjab is 2 crore and that of UP is 16 crore.

Now how can 2% people alone make Ishmeet win. This shows clearly that lot of Hindu brothers were also voting for Ishmeet.

I want to thank the all secular Hindu brothers who along with sikh brothers played major role in Ishmeet’s victory by voting from him in large numbers.
I want to make special mention about South & East Zone voters who voted in large numbers on the last day for Ishmeet.

VOI = Victory of Ishmeet

Ishmeet’s victory is a tight slap on the face of shameless & biased Aadesh Shrivastava who was shamelessly asking for votes with folded hands for harshit in the Banaras episode.
Harshit was treated so well in Ludhiana, where as Ishmeet was insulted in Banaras to demoralise him. This must hv been done most probably on the directions of Aadesh Shrivastava.
People have slapped aadesh shrivastava on his face by voting for Ishmeet.

It’s always nice to post comments in this great blog. Always I mentioned about this blog as like as my own family. And all the bloggers are just like my family members. Despite all our disagrees, fights still I think this blog as my family. Last time in this blog I said that I will never gonna post again and will quit this blog. But after this final I can’t just stop my self posting here today.

About The Result:

Despite I am an extreme Toshi fan, I have to say that as per this final (As there was no extreme talented singers like Toshi, Irfan, Sumitra, Arshpreet), among Ishmeet & Harshit, I was eagerly wanted to see Ishmeet as SVOI and the justice fullfiled. Because I always believed that, only Ihmeet’s win can spoil the dirty & nasty games & plans of stupid Gajj & the 5 stupid judges. I am very much glad that it happened. And the reasons are:

1. Despite not a learner Ishmeet has a sweet and nice voice. On the other hand with much knowledge in music Harshit the Dady Cry baby is basically a copy cat singer but has some powers in his voice. And it’s always better to see a singer of his owns than a copy cat one.

2. If you observe the last 3 episodes, then it will be crystal clear to you that, Ishmeets performances were much better than Harshit.

3. Ishmeet never received any favorisms or asked for that from the judges (Except sometimes from Abhijeet). On the other hand, Harshit always tried to get sympathy votes by excusing blind Dadi Ma and till last moment he received favorsfrom the judges just like always.

4. Despite Ishmeet is not so much talented singer like TOSHI, IRFAAN, SUMTRA, ARSHPREET and ABHAAS, atleast he reached to the GRAND FINALE by peoples votes. But believe me, though Harshit is a good singer (Also a copy cat singer) he reached to the Grand Finale by the mercies of stupid judges and stupid Gajj.

Another Controversially Of Grand Finale:

These Judges & Gajj are really biased and stupids. Look what happened at special jury award time. They have crowned Abhaas instead of Toshi which is completely intolerable. All the people were shouted for Toshi. But the stupid judges crowned abhaas. Shaan also did some drama when he mentioned that ” Some people are saying about Toshi, and some are Abhaas”. But that time I didn’t heard people shouting for Abhaas. I believe Abhaas is a talented singer but just ask yourselves, do you all believe he is better than Toshi or even better than Irfaan! This is all up to you.

The voice of the World confirmed:

When ever Toshi appears at Grand Finale people were shouting so much than they even shouted for the two finalists. Which completely proves that, for the great people of India Toshi is their true hero and Voice Of The World.

Congratulation to Ishmeet to win SVOI from deep of my heart. I also congratulate all the Punjabi’s to support him so blindly and helped Ishmeet to win SVOI.

Congratulation to JATIN:

Believe me, if there is any living example to be someones blind fan that honor only & only goes to Jatin. From beginning till end he is the only one of this blog who supported Ishmeet so desperately which I never saw among any supporters in my life before. Despite always disagrees and fights between us, I always respected his extreme supports for Ishmeet. I wanna say only one thing, Jatin’s win is bigger than Ishmeet’s win.

First I wanna congratulate you for Ishmeets win.
But, something I wanna tell you, from the beginning of this blog you are unnecessarily after many bloggers specially after the girls and more specially after Kalyani without any reason. To tell you man, she is the first one who congratulate Ishmeet after he crowned as SVOI. And I personally believe, she wished that from deep of her heart. Not for criticizing or anything else. And on return you just mentioned her as “Snaky Viper” (For your information Viper itself is a snake) !!!!!!!!!!!!
What I noticed here, many people said lots of things against Ishmeet but you specially choose Kalyani to attack. Why? I think you are too much jealous on Kalyani’s extreme popularity in this blog from the begining. If it is then I have only one thing to say, just go and get a big & fresh heart and learn some manners from others. And also it is you who should change. Kalyani doesn’t need to change as she is much better than you.

congratulations on becoming a top winner in VOI.When i first see u on TV i was thinking that might u choose wrong proffesion accordingly your personality,but when i hear ur song it goes to deep in the heart.you have really very good voice and great tallent.i wish u that u keep this achivement as itis in your rest of life with ur hard work and ur faith in the God.all singers are best in that contest but you have something special that u become top winner.we all proud of you.best wishes.

Please forget every thing now. Just listen the winner right from the beginning. Just enjoy this guy Ishmit. He came from no where but with his hard work and listened the bad things from the judges and he took it positively. Great person and i can challange any body on this planet that this Kid has some thing in him and will shine for ever. Nothing against any other top 12 singers. they are all great.

Ishmeet’s victory has not been reported in any of the newspapers in Delhi. Infact his selction as the winner has been criticized by a programme in Aaj Tak.

Ishmeet is not being spared even after his victory.
Even news channels like Aaj Tak dint telecast news showing his victory, inspite of the fact that personalities like Lata Mangeshkar & Madhuri Dixit graced the occassion.
This is the case of severe racial discrimination against sikhs in India.People just cant tolerate a sikh reaching the top.
This is shameful, very shameful.
This proves that even if a sikh reaches to the top by his honest and sincere efforts people are not willing to give any respect to him

pl jatin.stop talking rubbish…if it was so…we wouldnt b having daler mehndi…he was the best and still is…and we ahve had so many excellent music directors from punjab..plus singers….
now that ishmeet has won, stop finding excuses and faults everywhere…

First of all, let me congratulate Ishmeet for his victory. His fans across the India also deserve a pat on their back for seeing their favourite participant through to the finals and then ultimately winning the same.

I had left the blog on 19th November when somebody used the same display name as mine and wrote something nasty about Sikhs. I am surprised to see two messages (after victory of Ishmeet) issued with the display name as mine. They are in Punjabi and I dont know Punjabi. So I cant make out whether they are derogatory to someone or otherwise. Whatever is the case, I want to let the bloggers know that they are not mine.

Jatin!! I saw the NEWS on Star News, Aajtak, IBN Live, and Live India about Ishmeet’s victory. Infact, I got to know about his victory from Aaj Tak only when the flash came about his victory immediately after the programme.

The next day i.e. Sunday also there was news on Aaj Tak. Ofcourse, they were not running it for 24 hours, as other important things (may be less important than Ishmeet’s victory in your perspective) were also happening in India.
